Positive Economic Growth For 2017

The government expects the economy will perform much better next year than what is being projected by the Economic Commission of Latin America and the Caribbean, ECLAC…
ECLAC is projecting growth of 2.9 percent growth for the country in 2017, but the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, Ambassador Lionel Hurst says this is conservative forecast.

In its recent preliminary overview of the economies of Latin America and the Caribbean, ECLAC estimated that the Antigua and Barbuda economy has grown 4.2 percent.
This places the country as the fourth fastest growing in the Americas.
Ambassador Hurst says this is a major achievement, especially compared to other countries which have been lauded by the International Monetary Fund.
