Efforts have intensified to eradicate the Giant African Snail.

A risk-management plan is being put in place to guide how the bait is applied.

The Chief Plant Protection Officer, Janelle Gore- Francis, told Cabinet his week that the bait can be harmful to animals and humans, especially if it gets in water.
