CARLA HENRY LOSES HER BATTLE WITH DEBILITATING ILLNESS

Cobbs Cross resident Carla Henry died this morning after battling viral encephalitis. Her family made the announcement on social media platform Facebook, calling her death a tremendous loss. They have also thanked members of the public for their support. ABS news had reported earlier this week that the young Antiguan had suffered several complications as a result of the condition, which is an inflammation of the brain.

Henry had been transferred via air ambulance to the University Hospital of the West Indies in Jamaica. A Go Fund Me account had been set up to raise US$80,000.00 to offset her medical expenses; up to earlier this week, over US$6,000.00 had been raised.
