EXTRADITED UK POLICEMAN SENTENCED FOR RAPE
Lee Martin-Cramp, the British Police Officer who was extradited to Antigua, has been sentenced to 15 years for rape.
The 26-year-old had been found guilty in May of this year of raping a US citizen who had been living in this country while studying at a medical college 2015.
The court heard, the two had met via social media while Cramp had been visiting Antigua to attend a wedding.
The victim testified she trusted Cramp, who’d sent her a picture of himself in police uniform playing football with young children.
After attending a party, she invited the officer to her apartment.
She says he admitted to adding Vodka to her glass of wine when she left the room.
She was rendered unconscious after taking two sips of the concoction, which she says tasted different.
The complainant woke up the next morning with only flashes of what occurred the rest of the night before.
She only found out sex had occurred days later when Cramp finally confessed.
He however claimed it was consensual.
The victim and members of her family testify their lives have been severely impacted by the incident.
