FEMALE SPRINTER CHARGED FOR BEATING HER WIFE

Trinidad and Tobago sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye has been arrested and charged in the United States for an alleged domestic assault against her wife, Chelsea Renee. Court documents say the sprinter was arrested and charged in June in Round Rock, Texas, accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The 27 year won gold in the 100m at the Commonwealth games in April last year. She had voiced concern about a smear campaign against her after the Trinidad Guardian had published photographs of her with a female friend.
