POLICE CONDEMN ARSON AT OFFICER’S HOME
The Police High Command has condemned this week’s attack on a police officer’s home in Villa.
The act of arson is reported to have taken place sometime between 9pm on Monday and 4 Tuesday morning.
Police say an assailant or assailants went to the officer’s home at Bryson Street, Villa and poured what appeared to be a flammable liquid on his front porch and set it ablaze.
The officer was not injured and extinguished the fire, but not before it damaged the porch, a wooden door, as well as furniture in the living room area.
The probe is continuing into the incident and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914.
