PARLIAMENT TO DISCUSS STATE OF EMERGENCY NEXT WEEK

Parliament will meet next Thursday to discuss the state of emergency, which is scheduled to expire at the end of this month.

The state of emergency gives the government authority to restrict personal freedoms to prevent the coronavirus spread.
At next week’s sitting, parliament will also consider a vesting order to allow Antigua Commercial Bank to purchase the Royal Bank of Canada’s assets.
