SENATE VOTES TO EXTEND STATE OF EMERGENCY

Parliament’s Upper House gave the greenlight to a resolution to extend the state of emergency for another 90 days today.
It comes on the heels of a similar approval in the Lower House last week.
There was another round of intense debate with opposition senators raising concerns about the measure.
