90 % OF MEDICAL STAFF VACCINATED

Despite initial pushback, the inoculation of health care workers including nurses at Mount St John’s Medical Centre has progressed satisfactorily. According to Medical Director Dr Albert Duncan some 90% of the team have already received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

This is welcome news as the World Health Organization continues to agitate for health care workers to be first to receive their jabs in public vaccination programmes. Antigua and Barbuda has accepted the mandate with workers in the health care profession first to be vaccinated on February 17, 2021.
