Former ACLM member, Lowel Jarvis Speaks of the Liberation Struggles
Members of the Antigua Caribbean Liberation Movement, (ACLM), a radical socialist group, want nationals to be educated about their organization’s legacy. The ACLM which was founded in 1968 by the late Tim Hector has played a major role in Caribbean efforts of southern African liberation. Former ACLM member, Lowel Jarvis speaks of the liberation struggles as a humanitarian issue:
Dr. James Knight, is of the opinion that African liberation and the contribution by the ACLM should be part of the local education program.
Supporting this call is another ACML member, Jerome Bleau, who describes the approaches of the late Nelson Mandela as one to be emulated by many.
