Government sets Ambitious plans for HEART Programme

Government plans to roll out an ambitious program that will provide jobs and training for special needs residents through the Human Entrepreneurial Assisted Resource Technology (HEART) program.

A ten million dollar loan agreement is being finalized for the new endeavor, expected to be launched shortly.

According to Minister responsible for Telecommunication Science and Technology, the Hon Dr. Edmond Mansoor, says the program is designed to impact citizens and improve competitiveness.

Mansoor says the multifaceted program also hinges on ensuring better standards for the physically or otherwise challenged.

Antigua and Barbuda has been branded as the ICT capital of the region over the last ten years and the program is expected expand in various facets this year.
