Agenda developed for compliance with WTO Ruling

The government’s development agenda will include new efforts to force the United Sates to comply with the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruling on remote gaming.

The intention is to enforce the 2007 arbitration panels that would allow the state to realize the gains of the sector one again.

Governor General Dame Louise Lake Take in delivering the 2014 throne speech says the new efforts form part of the Baldwin Spencer administration’s program to deal with the suspension imposed by the US.

She adds that Antigua and Barbuda is also advancing efforts to formalize the free movement regime.

Government will in 2014 table legislation to review the Antigua and Barbuda Labour code.
