John Smith Speaks on Beaches and New Airport Impact
As Antigua and Barbuda anticipates the opening of the new terminal, the country can expect an influx in visitors occupying luxurious resorts such as the soon to be constructed Beaches Resort.
During a recent visit to Beaches Turks and Caicos, Representative of the Airport Authority there, John Smith told media personnel that the development of the Beaches property, prompted the expansion of the island’s airport due to the increase in air passengers.
He has says that there was a period of time when the property was closed briefly leading to a 40% reduction in airlift.
He added that there has also been an increase in the arrival of jets, also connected to the Beaches Resort.
The government of Antigua and Barbuda and Sandals Report International recently signed a US one hundred and twenty five million dollar investment deal.
