ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA PARTICIPATES IN HIGH-LEVEL SEMINAR IN CHINA

Operations Manager of the Social Protection Board, Mary Baltimore, is leading Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation to a seminar on poverty reduction in China. Crucial discussions are being held with officials in the Asian country, which is Antigua and Barbuda’s most important development partner.

Other members of the country’s delegation are:
Inspector Veldon Ragguette, Akeem Browne, Jeneice St Romain, Ricardo Nedd, Osborne Hector and
Katherine Joseph.

Hector has also become the first Antiguan and Barbudan to reach to the 12th-highest point on The Great Wall of China. The feat has been hailed by the Chinese authorities as emblematic of the spirit of resilience of the Antiguan and Barbudan people.
