Two Men Charged in Aggravated Robbery and Shooting Incident
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Friday, 18 July 2025
The police have arrested and jointly charged 18-year-old Maurice Belgrave Jr. of All Saints and 30-year-old Ernesto Estevan Lawrence of Swetes in connection with an aggravated robbery and shooting that occurred on Sunday, 29 June 2025.
The incident took place at the Now and Later Supermarket on Federation Road in Grays Farm. The accused reportedly robbed the proprietor of an undisclosed sum of money and shot her in the left leg before fleeing the scene.
Both men have been charged with Aggravated Robbery, Shooting with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm, Possession of Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition. They are expected to appear in court sometime today.
