Tropical Storm Erin: Tuesday Midday Update

Tropical Storm Erin continues moving west across the Atlantic with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.

Currently located about 1,765 miles East of the northern Leeward Islands, the storm is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane by late Thursday.

The National Hurricane Centre advises interests in the northern Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico to monitor Erin’s progress as the storm could move closer to these areas over the weekend.

No coastal watches or warnings are currently in effect, but residents should stay informed as conditions may change.
