2026 COMMONWEALTH YOUTH AWARDS LAUNCHED

On International Day of Youth, Commonwealth Secretary-General officially launched the 2026 Commonwealth Youth Awards. And you may qualify.

The awards are meant to recognise young leaders who are driving progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each year, an outstanding entrant is named Commonwealth Young Person of the Year, with regional awards given for Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada & the Pacific. The nominee must have been engaged in development work for more than 12 months, either in a professional or voluntary capacity; and be aged 15 to 29 years old on 31 December 2025, among other criteria.
