Several Statutory Corporations To Be Divested

The divestment of several statutory corporations is on the “To Do” list for the United Progressive Party when it secures a third term in office.

Minister of Finance, the Economy and Public Administration the Hon. Harold Lovell, says the format will be similar to divestment used by the Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB), which gave citizens and residents the ability to own shares.

Among the entities listed for divestment are the financially troubled Antigua Public Utilities Authority, the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority, and State Insurance Corporation.
