PETER WICKHAM SAYS BY-ELECTION RESULT BUOYS ABLP, JOLTS UPP LEADERSHIP

Regional pollster Peter Wickham says the margin of victory for the governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party could encourage the prime minister to call a general election.

Wickham also says the main opposition United Progressive Party may need new leadership, following the resounding victory by Randy Baltimore over Alex Browne.

Wickham revealed findings from a recent poll he conducted in St Philip North during ABS’ election night coverage on Monday.
