The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has spent over XCD$1 million to purchase additional building materials to distribute to vulnerable households nationwide.

The fresh supplies are set to arrive on island within the next two weeks.

This is the second time building materials are being purchased, with scores of families already benefiting from materials imported earlier this year.

Director-General for Communications in the Prime Minister’s Office, Maurice Merchant, provided the update to journalists during Thursday’s post-cabinet media briefing.
