UPP’S MALAKA PARKER EMPHASIZES TOURISM DIVERSIFICATION ON CAMPAIGN TRAIL

The main opposition United Progressive Party took its campaign message to Bolans on Wednesday, hosting a ‘UPP Rising’ rally.

Malaka Parker, the party’s candidate for St John’s Rural North challenged the performance of Tourism Minister, Charles Fernandez.

She claimed the governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party had failed to fully develop the country’s main industry.

Parker argued that the island’s tourism industry is still vulnerable and proposed diversifying routes and carriers if the UPP were to form the government.
