Cuba says it remains committed to supporting Antigua and Barbuda through educational opportunities, despite tough sanctions and a crippling oil blockade from the United States, which have triggered an energy and economic crisis.

Cuba’s Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, Sergio Manuel Martínez González has announced 18 new scholarships for Antiguans and Barbudans to pursue studies in the western Caribbean nation.
