Antigua and Barbuda’s only male cententarian, Denzil O’Brien Cummins of Sea View Farm, has died at the age of 101.

He died on Thursday evening, days after being among the special group of citizens honoured by officials during this year’s Centenarian Week celebrations.

Governor General, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams and Director of the Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division, Dale O’Brien, were among officials who participated in the Centenarian Week outreach activities.

The Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation has expressed condolences to his loved ones and the Sea View Farm community.

Residents are reflecting on the man who touched many lives and inspired those around him.

Cummins was born September 17, 1925.
