ABWU Meets with Cost Pro Staff as Supermarket Ceases Operations
Staff of Cost Pro Supermarket have been left with questions, after being informed of the permanent closure of the supermarket.
The scores of workers received correspondence that their employment will be terminated by reason of redundancy, as the supermarket will be permanently shuttering its operations.
The workers met with officials of their bargaining agent, the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union on Friday morning, where preliminary discussions were held on key issues. The union says it will be working with the relevant authorities to ensure the workers receive their entitlements, in line with the laws of Antigua and Barbuda.
