AIDS SECRETARIAT URGES RESPONSIBLE SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR

The AIDS Secretariat is reminding the public about the importance of responsible sexual behaviour, including during the current Carnival season.

AIDS Programme Manager, Delcora Williams, says there is no reason for individuals to engage in risky sexual practices.

Her advice is to use a condom once they are uncertain about the HIV status of a sexual partner.

Williams says other preventative measures are also available, such as Pre-exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP.
