ICTs MINISTRY AMPS UP CYBERSECURITY PUSH WITH LAUNCH OF CIRT

The Antigua and Barbuda Government’s Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been launched, in a major milestone in the country’s quest to shore up its defences against growing cyber threats.

It will be responsible not only for the country’s response to cyber attacks, but also for the efforts to prevent such incidents.

The CIRT will work closely with the nation’s security establishment, as cyber threats evolve with increasingly powerful technologies.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies launched the unit at the John E. St Luce Conference Centre Friday afternoon.
