JENNINGS HIGH PRINCIPAL MADE ‘ERROR OF JUDGEMENT’ IN DRILL – MINISTRY

Director of Education Clare Browne says an unauthorized emergency drill at Jennings Secondary School Friday morning was “an error of judgement” by the school’s leadership.

The ministry summoned the principal, Rody Christopher, for a meeting Friday afternoon, after the simulation spooked students and members of the public.

Director Browne says emergency drills in schools are valuable, but they must meet certain requirements, including notification of all stakeholders.
