‘VERY WELCOMING’ ANTIGUANS AND BARBUDANS PRAISED AS OVER 5,000 TO ARRIVE FOR CHOGM

Commonwealth Secretary General, Hon. Shirley Botchwey, has thanked the Government of Antigua and Barbuda for hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting from November 1-4.

Botchwey delivered a message to Antiguans and Barbudans as she spoke with ABS News shortly after her arrival at V.C. Bird International Airport on Thursday.

She praised residents for their hospitality as thousands of overseas guests converge on Antigua and Barbuda and assured that “good things will come out of it.”

The twin-island state is the smallest ever member of the 56-nation grouping to host the biennial event.
