National Honors Committee To Be Established
A National Honours Committee is being established to oversee all national awards and national nominations.
This comes, as Government seeks to revoke some 19 awards that were conferred by the former Governor General, Dame Louise Lake-Tack before leaving office.
Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne says the persons who will sit on the committee will be named later this week.
He maintains that the nominations by the former Governor General are not valid.
He adds that changes will also be made to the National Honours Act, thereby revising the eligibility criteria for national honours.
