Former Antigua Port Authority Workers Begin Receiving Payments

The Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority says it has made a dent in paying outstanding monies to its former employees.

Chairman of the Port Authority, Senator Mary Claire Hurst, says she convened a meeting with retirees and those who opted for the separation package.

She says during the meeting a commitment was made to begin the payments in four categories…and people are now receiving payments in instalments.

Senator Hurst says ensuring that the retirees are paid…brings much satisfaction to her.
