Banks Across The Country Opened Wednesday, Despite A Strike By Employees In The Financial Sector

The strike by bank employees had limited impact Wednesday…as all banks opened for business as usual…though with some offering limited service.

The bank employees with the encouragement of their bargaining agent – the UPP-aligned Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union – resorted to strike action that slowed operations at the financial institutions.
