Police Officers Engaged In A Charitable Event

Several police officers were Sunday engaged in a charitable event where they were building a home for a mother and her family.
Called Adopt a Family, the initiative is the brain-child of Police officer, Sergeant Veldon Raggie and his wife Helen.
Sgt. Raggie provides background for today’s charitable event.

Helen Raggie says the Adopt a Family Charity has been on-going for some eleven years.

Acting Police Commissioner, Wendel Robinson, visited the scene and he added his voice of commendation to the Raggie’s and his officers.

Several businesses contributed to the building of the wooden structure for the homeless family in St Johnson’s Village.
