Prime Minister Gaston Browne Expresses His Confidence In Attorney General Steadroy ‘Cutie’ Benjamin

Prime Minister Hon Gaston Browne is standing firm with his Attorney General on the issue of the human smuggling ring that operated in the country for several years.

At a press conference Tuesday, the Attorney General and Immigration Minister, Hon Steadroy Benjamin, offered to step aside from the Immigration portfolio to allow an independent inquiry into the matter.

Speaking on a radio broadcast Tuesday night, the Prime Minister says he is in no hurry to yield to the request.
