Head of the Fire Department Assistant Commissioner of Police Elvis Weaver says the new unit will be deployed in St John’s for the time being.
ACP Weaver says four more units purchased by the government are to arrive in the country in the coming weeks; three from the United Kingdom and another from the United States.
One of the tenders purchased from the UK is a new unit.
