ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA RANKS 54TH IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX

Antigua and Barbuda has climbed 17 places in the latest Human Development Index, and is among the top developing countries on the list.
The latest report has the twin-island state at 54 out of 193 countries, a significant improvement from the 71st place it occupied in the 2021-2022 report.
54th ranking is categorized as “very high human development”.
Economist and Principal of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, Professor C. Justin Robinson says the ranking is an achievement worth celebrating.
He tells ABS News the ranking at 54 reflects a high quality of life for citizens of the nation.
