AUA Hires Errol Cort

Former Labour Minister, Dr Errol Cort has been retained by the American University of Antigua to help resolve the longstanding dispute with its staff.

ABS News learns that AUA has asked Dr Cort, to use his experience to bring a resolution to the negotiations that erupted into protest action last week.

Cort met Tuesday with representatives of the Antigua Trades and Labour Union, the bargaining agent for the local staff at the institution.

AT&LU Industrial Relations Officer, Hugh Joseph, says Dr Cort told the union he wanted to get their side of the matter and that following some discussion…all parties have agreed to meet on Friday.
