BENEFITS OF NEW CLASSROOMS TO SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

School for the Deaf Principal Dianne Archibald says a recent donation to construct two new classrooms will greatly enhance the teaching and learning process.

She says classroom space was limited and couldn’t facilitate different stations for the subject areas.


Principal Archibald says the space will also improve the delivery of co-curricular activities such as dancing and dramatic presentations.

The classrooms would open into one large room to comfortably host parent teachers meetings.

The structural improvements will also allow for a sick bay.

Consideration is also being given to constructing a classroom between the two buildings and replacing a current classroom with a library.

The donation of 25-thousand EC dollars was made by the Rotary Club of Antigua in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank Friday.
