Church Leader Remanded To Prison On Sex Charges

The church leader who is facing several charges relating to him having sex with a minor appeared before a magistrate today (Wednesday).

The man, who cannot be named because of the nature of the crime, was remanded to prison when he appeared before District B Magistrate Conliffe Clarke.

He is charged with serious indecency, indecent assault, and unlawful carnal knowledge, for allegedly committing sexual acts on a 13 year-old girl.

The 47 year-old church leader was not required to plead, since the charges against him are indictable.

He will remain at Her Majesty’s Prison until committal proceedings begin.
