CHURCH MEMBERS PICKET STRAFFIE’S FUNERAL HOME

Members of The Ministry of The Body of Christ Incorporated protested outside of The Straffie’s Funeral Home this morning.
The church members allege disdain by Saunders’ family members for the church of which Saunders was reportedly a part. This, they say resulted in the dismissal of six of their members who worked at the funeral home. When contacted by ABS Ms Naadia Saunders, daughter of the late Elizabeth Saunders, stated she previously communicated to the former employees that the issue of outstanding entitlements would be addressed upon completion of the necessary review of the employment records and the accounts of the estate. They are also currently in discussions with Union representatives in that regard. She reports there has been no breakdown in the discussions with the Union and she is not in a position to comment further on this morning’s picket activity.
