COUNTRY BRACES FOR SEVERE WEATHER THIS WEEKEND; TROPICAL STORM WATCH IMMINENT

A tropical storm watch is to be issued at 11pm for Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of the Leeward Islands as Tropical Depression Number Seven makes a bee line for the area this weekend. The depression is forecast to strengthen into Tropical Storm Fiona before impacting Antigua and Barbuda this Friday into Saturday.
Meteorologist Lenard Josiah says the level of impact will depend on whether the cyclone passes south or north of the islands since the strongest winds are north-east of the centre of circulation.
