COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY GLOBALLY

Meanwhile, the world continues to be in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic as cases continue to increase around the world.
That update has come from the Director General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

Dr. Tedros says it’s pleasing to see small declines in cases and deaths in several regions.
However, he says the situation in India is beyond heartbreaking and the WHO is doing all it can.

WHO has redeployed more than 2,600 staff to support the response on the ground.
