Customs Officers to Receive Outstanding Payments

The level of dissatisfaction between the Customs officers and the government over late payments and reimbursement of tipping fees is finally being resolved.

At the heart of the tension were outstanding overtime payments dating back to over six months.
Comptroller of Customs, Raju Baddu gave ABS News an update on the payment plans.

Government implemented a container checking policy earlier this year which will also aide in officers receiving their container checking fees within good time.
