EMT DELIGHTED WITH ‘EYE-OPENING’ TRAINING EXPERIENCE IN JAMAICA
Three members of Antigua and Barbuda’s health services have returned from Jamaica with new skills to handle radiological emergencies.
They received training that takes on added relevance as the country looks ahead to the reopening of the cancer centre.
Two personnel from the Emergency Medical Services and a doctor from Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre spent a week in Jamaica for specialised training in radiological emergency response.
The training covered everything from identifying radioactive sources to treating affected patients.
EMS supervisor Brandon Browne tells ABS News the experience was eye-opening.
