ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS URGED TO TAKE HPV VACCINE TO REDUCE RISK OF CERTAIN CANCERS

Health officials are renewing calls for greater uptake of the vaccine against the Human Papillomavirus or HPV, warning that one of the region’s leading cancers is largely preventable.

The experts say more people must take advantage of early protection.

The reminder comes as Antigua and Barbuda join in marking Vaccination Week in the Americas.
