‘TAKE THE TIME AND PAY US BACK SLOWLY’ – REPARATIONS ADVOCATES STAGE PROTEST

A group of demonstrators staged a peaceful protest Tuesday morning as the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) took place.

They called for reparations for the atrocities of slavery and colonialism.

The action was intended to keep reparatory justice in the spotlight, particularly as King Charles III is in Antigua and Barbuda, which was once under British colonial rule.
