Message from Hon. E.P. Chet Greene

Minister of Foreign Affairs & Chairman, CHOGM Task Force

On the Occasion of the CHOGM 2026 3 Day Security Simulation Exercise

Fellow Citizens and Residents of Antigua and Barbuda:

Over the next three days, our nation will undertake a critical Security Simulation Exercise as we continue our steadfast preparations for CHOGM 2026. This exercise is not merely a drill; it is a testament to our unwavering commitment to hosting a safe and successful gathering of Commonwealth leaders in November.

I wish to commend the men and women of our law enforcement and security agencies who are spearheading this operation. Your dedication, sacrifice and meticulous planning are the bedrock of our nation’s readiness. I implore you to lead this process with exemplary professionalism, as your conduct reflects the highest standards of our twin-island state.

To the public, I extend my sincere gratitude. Your cooperation and patience are indispensable to the success of this exercise. Your participation demonstrates the “all-of-country” support that defines us as a people and signals to the world our collective readiness to host this global event.

We fully anticipate and sincerely apologize for any inconveniences to your daily routines; be it traffic delays or restricted access. Please understand that these temporary adjustments are necessary. Proper and effective planning is the only path to ensuring the safety of our international guests and our own people and the overall success of the event.

As we navigate these important steps, I pledge the full availability and accessibility of myself, the government and my team at the task force. We are all in this together and through our shared resolve, we will deliver a CHOGM that makes Antigua and Barbuda proud.

May God bless our security forces and may God bless Antigua and Barbuda.

Hon. E.P. Chet Greene

Minister of Foreign Affairs

Chairman, CHOGM Task Force
