FUNERAL AND WEDDING RESTRICTIONS RELAXED

The regulation limiting funerals and weddings to 25 people has been dropped.  

More than 25 people are also allowed at burial sites provided the six feet physical distancing measure is followed.   

Cabinet has decided that the number of people allowed to assemble at both wedding ceremonies and funeral services will be determined by the capacity of the church where the ceremony is being held.   

Last year, the Ecclesiastical Commission created a framework to guide churches to safely hold services while allowing more than 25 people to attend.  

The relaxation in COVID- 19 health protocols comes as the country currently has no confirmed COVID- 19 cases.
