Government Partners With Caribbean Helicopters As Plans Advance For Barbuda Air

Plans are advancing for the establishment of Barbuda Air, which is expected to lower the cost of travel to the sister isle.

Chief of Staff Lionel “Max” Hurst says the purchase of airplanes is not enough, and that government has entered a partnership in this endeavour.

The current flight schedule to Barbuda is two flights daily.

Barbuda Air, according to Hurst, will increase the number of flights and the number persons travelling to the sister isle.

He says the signing of the agreement between the government and Caribbean Helicopters on April 24th was postponed as the prime minister had another engagement.
