GYMS REOPEN AFTER THREE MONTH HIATUS

The relaxation of another restriction took effect today, with gyms being able to open their doors.
The establishments had been shuttered for some three months as part of COVID-19 containment measures.
Gym operators are fitness enthusiasts welcomed the return to their routines and have committed to adhering to the safety requirements.
Our reporter, Shannakisha Francis was at two gyms today and spoke with operators and a senior official of the Central Board of Health.

The reopening of gyms today follows the adjustment to the numbers in places of worship.
Numbers had been previously limited to 25, but cabinet agreed to return to the arrangement allowing for the numbers to be determined based on the size of the building.
This is on the basis there is physical distancing of 6 feet between worshippers who are not of the same household.
