PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HALO FOUNDATION

As part of its environmental awareness campaign, the Halo Foundation donated 5 public trash bins which were positioned recently on the island’s north shore Shell Beach area.

The bins were installed by members of Halo Generation Y (youth team), who have been engaged in a continuous nation-wide clean-up and tree-planting campaign.

The Halo Foundation will be undertaking additional environmental projects in the near future, in conjunction with the Royal Commonwealth Society Antigua and Barbuda Branch.

Halo expresses appreciation to the Ministry of Lands, DCA, and the Department of the Environment for granting the necessary permission. The Foundation would also like to thank National Solid Waste Management for updating its refuse collection schedule to include an additional route.
